Drew's Brew (Hawaiian Style) Teriyaki Sauce Recipes

note: To enjoy maximum flavor of the sauce, pat-dry meats and vegetables before marinating to help prevent dilution of the sauce. For grilling, use Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce as a basting medium as well as a marinade.

SAUCES

Helen's Spicy Salad Dressing
1/2 cup Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
2 T sesame seed, roasted
5-7 T fresh lime juice
1/8 cup salad or olive oil (optional)

Toast sesame seed on med-high heat in a dry pan. Cook until lightly browned, about 2 minutes.  Do not burn.  Warm Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce in microwave oven for about 1 minute. Combine roasted sesame seed into warmed teriyaki sauce.  Add 5-7 tablespoons lime juice adjusting quantity to taste. Salad /oil may be added if desired ...........Great on Chinese noodle salads.

Bata Yaki Sauce
1 cup Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
1/4 cup grated daikon (horseradish)
Lime or lemon, as desired

Combine Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce with daikon and lemon or lime juice .
Use as dipping sauce for thinly sliced flank steak cooked in butter or thinly sliced BBQ steak.

Teriy-Q Marinade Sauce
1/2 cup Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
1/2 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
1/2 oz of pickled ginger, chopped fine
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 table spoon minced garlic
1 table spoon balsamic vinegar

For an even better marinade, mix and let set in the refrigerator over night. Great on fish, portabella mushrooms, chicken and red meats.


CHICKEN       

Drew's Baked Teri' Chicken
8 broiler-fryer chicken thighs
Sauce:
1/3 cup Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
Wash and pat dry chicken thighs. Marinate chicken with sauce 1/2 hour or overnight. Place in foil lined pan, pour sauce over chicken and bake 1 hour at 325°, turning chicken twice during baking.  Skim fat from sauce and serve.

Mochicko Chicken
2 pounds chicken thighs, de boned
2 T mochiko (sweet rice flour)
4 T cornstarch
1/4 cup Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
2 gees, beaten
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Mix everything except chicken. Add chicken and marinate for 5 hours or overnight in refrigerator.  Fry in 1 inch hot oil until golden brown on both sides.  Serve hot or cold. When cold, may be cut into slices.  Use Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce as a dipping sauce, straight from the bottle!

Drew's Crispy Chicken
1 broiler chicken, cut into serving pieces or 3 lbs. of chicken drumsticks, thighs, etc.
1 cup cornflake crumbs
1/4 cup sesame seeds
2/3 cup Drew;s Brew Teriyaki Sauce
Was and pat dry chicken pieces. Marinate chicken for 1 hour. Roll pieces in cornflake crumbs mixed with sesame seeds.  Line shallow baking pan with heavy foil. Place chicken pieces on foil, skin side up.  Bake until tender, about 30-45 minutes at 350°.


BEEF

Korean Barbequed Hamburger
1 lb ground beef
2 stalks green onion, chopped
1 egg
1tsp. sesame seed, toasted
1 tsp. sesame oil
2 T Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
Combine ingredients and form into patties. Broil or grill to desired doneness


PORK

So Ono Baked Spareribs
3 lbs. pork spareribs
Sauce:
1/2 cup Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
1/2 cup catsup
1/4 cup sherry or sake
1 tsp salt
Parboil spareribs for about 30 minutes. Mix sauce with hot spareribs and marinate for about 3 hours. Bake 45-60 minutes at 350°.


FISH

Albert"s Potato Chips Mahi-Mahi
Wash and pat dry mahi-mahi filets or other firm white fish.  Salt and pepper filets.   Mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise with 1 tablespoon Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce.  Coat seasoned filets with mayonnaise mixture,  Spray baking pan with non-stick oil.  Sprinkle a thin layer of crushed potato chips on man.  Lay coated filets on chips.  Cover filets with remaining crushed chips.  Bake at 325° for about 20-25 minutes or until fish is done.  Serve with tartar sauce below.
Tartar Sauce:
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 t Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
1 t sweet relish
White pepper to taste


VEGETABLES

Sweet & Spicy Broccoli
1 to 1 & 1/2 lbs broccoli tops
1 tablespoon oil
2-3 cloves garlic, mashed
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce
Saute garlic in oil until slightly opaque over med-high heat.  Add broccoli and salt.  Stir fry broccoli in garlic oil for about a minute.  Add water.  Let broccoli steam cook for about 2 minutes until color changes to a dark green. Do Not Overcook.  Broccoli should crunchy.  Stir in Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce.  Serve over hot rice or as a side vegetables.

Grilled Portabella Mushrooms
Marinate mushrooms Drew's Brew Teriyaki Sauce - pour marinade over the "fins" and grill (smooth side down first).
(Make sure that flames DO NOT develop under the mushrooms or all you will taiste is soot.) cook as you would a steak, turning once 7-10 minutes on each side.
