How far in advance. ?

Obviously, Sooner is Better than Later.  But to Find Out the Availability, CALL, Regardless of How Immediate the Date.

I feel we need to meet in person first....

Certainly, whether you want your chiropractor with you while you travel or are a chiropractor needing coverage for his/her office; it is important we meet face to face and have a chance to ask and answer question.

How do I confirm coverage dates ?

Given that I am available for the dates you need, the conformation is complete when I receive your 25% Non-Refundable deposit.

How do you charge for your services?

For Chiropractic Offices:
I do not charge extra for high volume practices, mileage, motels or face to face interviews.  The Only occasion in which I charge a $50 per diem, is for the days which the doctor's office is closed during the week/s ordered.  I keep my over head low by living on the central coast (half way between L. A. and San Francisco) and staying with my friends and family around the state. No complicated % of production, no % of net etc. Discounts for moderate to long term vacation relief. I love what I do, and know that when you can take a vacation and turn a profit, that you will simply take more vacations.  Lastly, I claim all my income to the IRS and am responsible for my own federal, state & self employment/SSN taxes.

For Personal Traveling Chiropractic Care:
Again I charge a flat fee which would cover both you and your staff. In addition this, would be the cost of travel & housing.

What happens next ?

If I am available, we talk about price.  Prior to me covering for you, I always spend several hours observing you during office hours. At the end of my "tour" we trade adjustments and this is a convenient time for a question/answer session. This all gives me first hand knowledge of how you adjust your patients and gives me the best possible advantage in duplicating you specific techniques. This is all done without charge or commitment. You are considered "tentative" and neither of us are bound until I receive the 25% non-refundable deposit.  At the time when I receive the deposit, is the time when we are both committed to each other and only then are you on my calendar

Have You ever Covered for a Female Chiropractor ?

Yes, and the feedback I have received from the female doctors has been very positive.  Personality wise, I am relaxed and professional.  My physical size does not intimidate female patients (5'9'' and athletic frame). Feel free to contact any of the female chiropractors listed in the business references section.

What is your Cancellation Policy ?

As you have read, in order to get on my calendar, you need to produce a 25% Non-Refundable Deposit. But, while I am waiting for your deposit, we have a temporary verbal contract that I will hold your dates in order to give you time to send the deposit. At this point if you do not receive my invoice, it is then your responsibility to call me at my 800# and ask me to resend the invoice. (In 2-3 weeks I will usually give you a follow up call if I have not received your deposit.) If your need for coverage changes and you notify me (that is, if we actually speak, voice mail is unreliable and therefore unacceptable) no less than 45 days prior, then the cancellation fee is the 25% deposit.  If you notify me 30-44 days prior to the scheduled dates, an additional 50% of contracted work will be required.  And Finally, if you notify me less that 30 days or if I have already begun working, then the entire amount of the contract will be required.  In the past, this policy has enabled me to maintain the business relationships with my doctors, allowing a degree of flexibility and the obvious requirements of me running a viable business.

This cancellation policy has evolved over the years with three goals in mind:
1. To maintain good working business relationships.
2. To avoid any misunderstandings.
3. That my business be professionally maintained as a viable vacation relief business.

The Answers to the Question You Wish You Could Ask ?

In the past year I have had a few, what I think are curious question and No, I do not have any facial piercings, tattoos, or a ponytail (......and yes I do have a valid passport for those needing personal traveling chiropractic care.).

Do you carry your own malpractice insurance?

Yes, I carry $1,000,000/3,000,000 with Pi Omega Delta. Renewal Date: February 2007

Are you licensed/ proficient in taking X-Rays?

Yes, I am licensed to take X-Rays and pretty good at it, having used many different machines and processors (one of my dr's is actually developing his x-rays by hand!).  I am surprised that a number of vacation relief doctors do not take x-rays.

Do You Cover For Spanish or Vietnamese Speaking Practices?

Yes, I have.  While I am not fluent in either language, for a routine office visit, I communicate fine.  For initial exams, consultations and re-exams, to have an interpreter available would be best.
